Revolutionary, enhanced thermal spray composite
coatings feature high levels of wear and
corrosion resistance dry-lubricity and mold
release not possible with conventional spray
methods. Infused matrix of metals, ceramics,
polymers and/or dry lubricants creates
structural integrity and a non-porous,
moisture-proof surface.
Provides unsurpassed abrasion resistance for
diffuse loads. Can be applied in substantial
thicknesses, extending wear life. Exact hardness
measurements not available due to composite
nature. Hardness of matrix materials used
surpasses Rc scale. EWR as low as 0.1 mg per
1,000 cycles.
Appropriate selection of the infused polymer
or the application of another surface polymer
provides a highly lubricious non-stick surface,
with a COF as low as 0.13 on an 8 RMS surface.
Normal temperature range: -200° to +500° F.
PLASMADIZE EXC features a top range of +1,000°
F, except when applied to aluminum. PLASMADIZE
NWG exhibits excellent wear resistance up to
+1,300° F. Room temperature wear resistance of
NWG is unaffected by excursions to +1,300° F.
Corrosion resistance Exceeds 300 to 1,000
hours salt spray as per ASTM B-117, depending on
the polymer and substrate used. Resists acids,
alkalis, most organic solvents, chlorides,
sulfites and thiosulfates, as well as pulp
bleaching chemicals.
Thickness range from .001" to
.010". An effective thickness of .008"
may be achieved by depositing an initial layer
of thermally-sprayed metal.
Typical Applications:
PLASMADIZE is ideal for protecting or restoring
all types of metal parts. Available as a release
(non-stick) or gripping surface, depending on
application. Can be applied at a Magnaplate
Technology Center or on-site at your facility.
